Galey Bay Caravan and Camping Park is situated on the peaceful western shore of Lough Ree. It is a small, family-run park which offers you a haven of peace and tranquility in which to relax or, the more adventurous outdoor types, there is ample opportunity for fishing, swimming in the lake or sailing.

Campsite facilities include mobile home hire, boat hire, a children's play area, fully equipped campers' kitchen, games room with pool table, TV room, hot showers, toilets and chemical disposal toilet. A taxi service is also available.

In close proximity to the park are Knockcroghery and Lecarrow villages, the picturesque marina at Portrunny Bay, Athlone and Roscommon towns, extensive watersport facilities, numerous historic sites and plenty of country walks and bike trails to exhaust even the most energetic visitors.

 

Directions to site:

From Athlone: N61 to Roscommon, turn right then immediately turn left before the railway crossing, turn right at the first crossroads.

From Roscommon: N61 to Athlone, after Knockcroghery Village turn left then immediately left after the railway crossing, turn right at the first crossroads.
